Gosh, it has been ages since my last post. I do have a good excuse though! I normally never succumb to a cold, flu etc., however, for the last 2 weeks I have made up for this!
I have had the cold from hell!. (I swear someone has a doll and is sticking pins in it! - no guesses for who lol!)
I had a sore throat, followed by loss of voice (hurrah!! my family said!) and then the most irritating cough (which I still have!) which is driving me and my aching body mad. Hot sweats followed by cold sweats....and... Just when I though it was going away...It started all over again!
It doesn't help that it has rained constantly for over a week and I have been merrily trotting round the field with the dog, with holes in my wellies (not a good look!)
I am moving soon, end of May to be precise... should really find somewhere else to live! eek! I am really struggling to find anywhere and it looks like I am going to have to crash down with family for a bit and put my 'stuff' into storage. I am soooo not looking forward to this (the stuff in storage, not the family bit! lol)
I have been busily sewing away and cannot show any of it yet as it is all for the swaps I am taking part in. Cannot wait until I can. I shall then include them in the monthly make for April.
I love this piccie of my son (who is 21 tomorrow!! Yay Happy Birthday Sean) and his partner with baby Jack....
I have also made my first 'large' cupcake...
Chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream, chocolate fingers and maltesers. A real choc-fest!
Here are some cupcakes....
Hopefully I will l have some good news on the home front in my next post.
The sun is shining (for the moment) this morning and I hope it is wherever you are too.
Have a great day x

Hi Sue,
ReplyDeleteFlu has been rife in my classes too...and I'm crossing fingers I don't get it...nor bring it home to the family as we had a very heavy bout at home in January. I always always lose my voice which is just great(not) when yr a teacher! I expect you have tried this ...hot lemmon and lemon juice that does help should you again go down with a severe sore throat. Glad to hear you are better. Just looking at those yummy cup cakes you have posted pics of would make me feel better....oh my dear they are toooo much!
Take care
