A bit of D.I.Y...

Since moving I have been busy sanding walls and hanging paper.

To be fair this house is 'okay' decor wise.  Nothing can be worse than my previous abode, which was a mixture of interior brickwork, mahogany doors and skirting boards, dark varnished wood panelled walls, archways and ceilings finished off with a fake beam!  and... all in the same room!!!

3 of the walls of the living room I paper-lined and then used Dulux  matt 'Timeless' which I gave 2 coats.  For the back wall I decided to go with quite a bold flower design in green with bits of brown in it.  The background of the paper is the exact colour match for the other walls.

Monday my carpet is being fitted and then hopefully my settee should be arriving at some point next week.  At the moment I have borrowed a brown leather settee from my daughter.  Once it's completely 'done'  I will bore you all with more piccies!

I also received a lovely piece of art that I had ordered from A Wooden Tree  (here is the Facebook link too...)

Let me introduce Mr. Roe...

I love him!  I saw him a while back and had been saving my pennies as I knew I had to have him.  He is now hanging on my freshly painted walls and I just know that I will have to have another one maybe two....  The pic really does not do him justice.

Not much has been happening cupcake wise as I took some time out to settle in etc.,  I have even managed to 'do' a little gardening!   which is really not my thing.  Dead plants are my speciality!

I have made a big order of gingerbread men (felt ones)  that are now on their way to the USA.  No pics i'm afraid, here is what they looked like though from previous orders.

and.. I have nearly finished this small cross stitch....

Any how!  Here are some cupcakes I did make for my daughter's last day of work before her maternity leave started.

Rubbish photo!

I also have made quite a few of these...

slurp!  delicious.

And to finish off I just had to show you the latest photo of my Grandson, Jack, who is now 3 months old!! can you believe it!!

He is adorable.  Hardly cries, and constantly smiling!

My daughter is due her bundle of joy in 3 weeks!! can't wait!

  6. Wow, busy lady! Love your decorating and Mr Roe certainly fits in

What is that slice with sprinkles please? It looks lush (not that your cupcakes don't, it's just that looks like something I might attempt due it being sort flat!)
